Our idea to form a Siberian cattery was not spontaneous. Twenty years ago when we lived in Moscow we had a Siberian cat named Tosha. He was a quite big silver cat with golden-green eyes. Tosha was a favourite of the whole family and in return he gave us his love and devotion. Tosha always needed to be near us. He met us at the door when we came home, liked to sit on my lap and watch TV, followed us to the bathroom in the morning, and slept with us in our bed at night. Tosha loved playing and fetching toys. He remembered where a toy was put the day before, fetched it and asked to play by touching us with a paw. During summer when we stayed at our country house Tosha always went fishing with my son. Small fish caught in the lake was his favourite dish. We had to leave Tosha with my parents when we migrated to Australia. We missed him a lot and our house here in Sydney seemed empty.
Once I was searching the web and came across Marie Mahoney’s website. That is how it started. Our two gorgeous girls Sonya and Darya came to us from Marie. Sony and Darya are smart, affectionate, playful and so entertaining. They quickly captured our hearts. Marie is always of a great assistance to us. She even came to Sydney to help us to prepare Sonya for her first cat show.
Our cattery is situated in Malabar Sydney. We pay great attention to growing our kittens. The cat with a litter has always a separate room. Just from the delivery of babies, we always control their development, follow their weight and growth. Each day we spend a lot of time playing with kittens, get them used to the human hands, and teach them to trust people. We can tell a lot about each kitten personality and habits. The highest award for us is to know that our kittens are beloved and treasured by their new owners.
